You built it.
They're holding it.
Every month you pay rent on a website that is already yours. StaticExport walks every page out the door as clean HTML, CSS and JS you own - hosted wherever you want, for free.
The hidden cost
Renting your own website is a subscription that never ends. Export once and the price drops to zero.
We clone, clean and optimise every page.
A resumable crawler on the server, an AI reviewer on top, and a deployable archive at the end. No runtime, no watermark, no lock-in.
Give us your URL
Paste any public page from any builder. The crawler reads robots.txt and sitemap.xml, builds a route map, then follows every same-host link it can find.
- ✓nested blogs and dynamic routes
- ✓redirects stored as aliases
- ✓robots-aware if you want it

Strip the builder overhead. Keep the design.
Builder runtimes ship megabytes of code you never asked for. Once the site is plain HTML, the same markup loads faster and ranks better - without touching a single design decision.
Whatever you built it in, we get the code out.
Detection runs on the first crawled page, so builder-specific chrome removal kicks in automatically for the pages that need it.

Native export is gated behind paid Site plans. We export any page, free.

If it renders in a browser, the crawler can walk it. Custom stacks, Next.js exports, hand-written HTML - all fair game.
Most alternatives are wrappers around a paid API.
StaticExport runs its own crawler, its own storage and its own AI pass - so the free tier is actually usable.
Everything you need to know
What exactly do I get?+
A single .zip containing your whole site as plain HTML, CSS, JS and media. Every page, image, font, video and stylesheet is mirrored locally, and every URL is rewritten to a relative path so the folder works on any host. You also get a robots.txt, sitemap.xml, 404 page, README and ready-made configs for Vercel and Netlify.
How does the crawler find all my pages?+
It starts with your robots.txt and sitemap.xml to build a route map, follows nested sitemaps, then walks every same-host link it finds. Dynamic routes, nested blogs and deep galleries are all picked up. Pages that redirect elsewhere are stored under an alias so links keep resolving.
What does the AI actually do?+
Google Gemini (free tier) reads each page and does three things: writes a tighter SEO title and meta description, suggests safe CSS selectors for leftover builder chrome like cookie walls, chat widgets and preview banners, and fills in missing image alt text. Every suggestion is sanitised - it can never target html, body, main or your layout containers.
Will my animations and interactions still work?+
Yes. Scripts and stylesheets are downloaded and linked locally, so scroll effects, Webflow interactions, sliders and hover states keep running. We only remove analytics, ad pixels, heatmaps and chat widgets - and even that is a toggle you control.
Do I need an account or a credit card?+
No. There are no application-level page, depth, file-size, total-size or hourly export quotas. Deployment provider limits still apply. An optional access code removes the watermark from single-page exports.
Where are my exports stored?+
Job progress and the mirrored files live in your own storage: MongoDB Atlas free tier when MONGODB_URI is set, otherwise on the local filesystem. Nothing is sent anywhere else, and you can delete any export from the dashboard.
Is it legal to export a site?+
Mirror sites you own, sites you built for clients, or sites whose licence allows reuse. The tool is a faithful copier - respecting robots.txt, copyright and your platform terms of service is on you. A robots.txt option lets you honour Disallow rules automatically.
Can it handle huge sites?+
The crawler is resumable and has no configured page, depth or byte ceilings. Each progress tick runs as a separate request; the hosting provider still sets runtime, memory and storage limits.
Flip the switch.
